These terms govern the use of Shuldex. Using the service means accepting them.

1. The service

Shuldex is management software for synagogues and communities: members, pledges and donations, recording payments, issuing receipts, aliyot sales, seating, tasks and events on the Hebrew calendar.

It is provided as software as a service. Your institution installs nothing and maintains no servers.

2. Your account

Opening an account creates an institution that belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for the lawful use of the system by anyone you give access to.

The data you enter is yours. We hold it on your behalf and make no commercial use of it.

3. Plans, payment and cancellation

The free plan has no time limit, within the quantity limits shown on the plan screen.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for — data and access remain until then, after which the account returns to the free plan.

A launch price agreed at sign-up is kept for as long as the subscription runs without a break.

Payment is taken by an external processor. We never see or store your card details.

4. Community funds

When an institution connects its own payment provider to collect from its members, the money goes straight to that institution’s merchant account. Shuldex does not hold community funds, is not a party to those transactions, and takes no commission on them.

Responsibility for the accuracy of amounts, receipts and reporting to the authorities rests with the institution.

5. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be carried out outside peak hours where possible.

Support is by email at [email protected].

6. Ending the service

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or harms the service, with reasonable notice unless immediate action is needed.

You will be given the opportunity to export your data before deletion.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will suit every purpose, run without fault, or produce results free of error.

Shuldex is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss — including lost income, lost donations, damage to reputation or loss of data — arising from use of the service or inability to use it.

In any event our total liability to an institution will not exceed what that institution actually paid us in the twelve months before the event. For an institution that pays nothing, no monetary liability arises.

None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Not professional advice

The system is a record-keeping and operational tool. It provides no accounting, tax or legal advice and is not a substitute for an accountant or a tax adviser.

Reporting to the authorities, compliance with charitable-receipt rules, and the accuracy of any document produced by the system remain the institution’s responsibility alone.

9. Backups

We take periodic backups for operational continuity, but they are not a substitute for the institution’s own. Export your data from time to time.

We do not undertake to restore data deleted by the institution or by anyone acting for it.

10. Third-party services

An institution may connect external services — payment processing, mail, bookkeeping, automation. Those are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their operation, availability or charges.

11. Indemnity

The institution will indemnify Shuldex against a third-party claim arising from its use of the system in breach of these terms or of the law — including claims by community members concerning data the institution entered or actions it took.

12. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control: an infrastructure provider’s failure, a cyber attack, war, industrial action, or an order of a competent authority.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv district have exclusive jurisdiction.

14. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be notified in advance by email or in the system, and the date at the top of this page will change accordingly.

The version accepted at registration is recorded here, together with when it was accepted.
